The Affirming Wardrobe

The Affirming Wardrobe provides free gender-affirming undergarments such as chest binders, packers, shaping underwear, and bras to transgender and gender-diverse youth.

Through collaborations with schools, health centers, community-based organizations, and professionals, Valid USA has made Affirming Wardrobes available throughout Arizona.

  • Meet our Founder!

  • Helping organizations and schools establish affirming wardrobes fills my whole soul with joy. I know from personal experience how hard it is to access things like a safe chest binder, and it means the world to me when seeing how validated youth feel when they get their binder or underwear.

    Trans youth are worthy of taking up space in this world, and deserve to feel pride in their identities. My goal is to provide and connect trans youth with as many resources needed so that they feel empowered and have everything they need to become STRIVING adults.

  • I take a great amount of pride in training the community, schools, businesses, organizations and professionals on LGBTQIA+ topics, with an emphasis on the T - transgender. There are so many people out there who want to learn, and or don't realize they need to learn, but don't know where or how to start. By taking part in educational and hands on learning opportunities, we can help make this world a little bit of a safer place for the LGBTQIA+ community.

//Past Projects

  • 2022 : Sister Eva's All expenses paid shopping trip for Trans and Gender Diverse students. 18 students were paired with a drag artist who served as their own personal shopper.

  • 2022 : Alex opened the first physical Affirming Wardrobe in Tucson, AZ

  • 2023 : Sister Eva's 2nd Annual All expenses paid shopping trip for transgender and gender diverse students. 17 students were paired with a drag artist who served as their own personal shopper.

  • 2024 : Alex established an Affirming Wardrobe in Tucson with Youth On Their Own through The Transform Fall 2023 Business Grant
